The Noel C Gray: Young Innovator Scholarship

Noel C Gray’s illustrious academic career was made possible through a series of scholarships. He is particularly grateful to Kingston Technical High School for the solid foundation he received both in training and in character. These principles undergirded his entire life.

With this scholarship we hope to identify a young innovator who requires support to achieve his or her full potential. The Noel C Gray: Young Innovators Scholarship will go to a young scientist at the Kingston Technical High School who embodies the principles of the school and who is destined for greatness.

Kingston Technical High School

Established in 1896, Kingston Technical High was the first technical school in Jamaica, and as such, introduced curricula that represented alternative educational directions to the traditional academic programs of study in the high schools.

Kingston Technical High School (KTHS) is Jamaica’s oldest vocational and technical high school. KTHS was also the genesis of CAST (The College of Arts, Science and Technology) which is now UTech (The University of Technology), and the model for other technical high schools across Jamaica.
